The mid-range segment is where most Bangladeshi buyers find the best balance between price and performance. With so many models launching every year, the spec sheet alone can be confusing. Here is a simple way to cut through the noise.
1. Start with the battery and charging speed
A 5,000 mAh battery is now the norm, and it comfortably lasts a full day of calls, social media and video. Pay attention to the charger in the box as well: 33W or faster charging can bring a phone from empty to full in about an hour.
2. Look for an AMOLED or high-refresh-rate display
A 90Hz or 120Hz screen makes scrolling noticeably smoother, while an AMOLED panel gives deeper blacks and better outdoor visibility. If you watch a lot of video, this is worth prioritising over a few extra megapixels on the camera.
3. Do not chase megapixels
A 50MP main sensor with good processing will usually beat a 108MP sensor paired with weak software. Check real photo samples and low-light reviews before you decide.
4. Storage and RAM
Choose at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage if you plan to keep the phone for three years or more. Apps and photos grow quickly, and a phone that feels tight on day one will frustrate you later.
5. Warranty and service
Always buy a phone with an official warranty and make sure a service centre exists in or near your city. A slightly cheaper unofficial import is rarely worth the risk.
